Safari Botanica Mahjong Tiles

Golden light and wild blooms: Safari Botanica brings the savanna to every hand. 🌿🦒

Lush, sun-warmed and quietly wild, the Safari Botanica Mahjong Tiles bring the savanna to your table. Inspired by vintage botanical prints and golden afternoons on the open plains, this American mahjong set is drawn in deep forest green, soft sage, blush pink, terracotta and mustard gold on a creamy ground. It's perfect for the traveller, the plant lover and anyone who dreams of acacia trees at sunset.

The Dots become round botanical rosettes: forest-green rings filled with radiating sage and pink petals around a mustard-gold centre, like pressed flowers set in a row. The Bams grow into neat stems of pink protea buds on slender green stalks, and the One Bam is a lilac-breasted roller perched on a leafy branch, with its pink breast and golden wing on full display.

Each Crak pairs its Chinese numeral and character with a single savanna bloom: pink protea, golden pincushion or a terracotta aloe spike. The Winds are a little landscape of their own: an acacia beside a rising terracotta sun for East, a flowering aloe for South, a broad baobab for West and a fan palm under a golden crescent moon for North. A brick-red 中 rises over aloe leaves, a forest-green 發 sits above a golden flower spike, and the White Dragon is a clean frame with a tiny protea in every corner.

The Flowers are the heart of these floral mahjong tiles. There are eight different blooms: a showy king protea, a towering aloe, a bird of paradise in terracotta and gold, a cluster of pink frangipani, a branch of desert rose, a golden pincushion protea, a curling fire lily and a sprig of mustard acacia puffballs. Each one is drawn large and bold, like a page from a field journal.

The Jokers bring the wildlife. Eight different animals each stand in their own patch of savanna greenery: a leopard, an elephant, a giraffe, a zebra, a lion, a rhino, a cheetah in full stride and a pink-necked ostrich. They're one family of characters, so every joker you draw feels like spotting a new friend on a game drive.

Finished with a layered tile edge in sage green, blush pink and deep forest green, the acrylic tiles carry the palette from face to back. Every rack looks fresh, earthy and a little bit adventurous.

Safari Botanica is a mahjong set designed for the nature lover, the wanderer and the friend who deserves a truly special safari gift.
