Merry Mayhem Mahjong Tiles

Full of twinkle, trimmings and a little chaos—Merry Mayhem brings the whole family Christmas to every hand. 🎄✨

Nostalgic, playful and gloriously over-the-top, our Merry Mayhem Mahjong Tiles celebrate the classic family Christmas that goes hilariously off the rails. Inspired by 1980s holiday road trips, overloaded light displays and relatives who arrive unannounced, every tile is drawn in a bold retro screen-print style on a creamy face with a gold frame, in cranberry red, evergreen, golden yellow and deep forest ink. It's a joyful Christmas mahjong set for anyone who quotes their favourite holiday comedies every December and loves a game night with a wink.

The Dots are reimagined as golden moose-head mugs with antler handles, raised for a holiday toast in counts from one to nine. The Bams start with a crimson cardinal perched beside a gold ornament, then turn into a tangled ball of vintage Christmas lights, with big red, gold and green bulbs poking out of the knot to match each number.

The Craks tell the story of the season one keepsake at a time: a wood-panelled station wagon with a fresh-cut tree strapped to the roof, a Santa hat, a goalie mask with a chainsaw, a ladder wrapped in lights, a saucer sled, eggnog beside a moose mug, a fold-down attic ladder, a Jelly of the Month gift and a hand-drawn pool plan. The Winds bring the neighbourhood to the table: a colonial house trimmed in lights, a vintage motorhome wearing a wreath, a pine tree crashing through the window and a backyard swimming pool. The Dragons glow with a crooked, over-decorated Christmas tree, a bright red poinsettia and a string of golden bulbs framing an empty field.

The Flowers are where the holiday chaos really shines. A wobbly green gelatin mould studded with cherries, a curious cat peeking out of a gift box, a tipped-over Santa lawn ornament, a very well-done roast turkey, a startled squirrel on a holly bough, a scorched red wingback chair, a waving flag and Santa's sleigh soaring behind two reindeer: eight tiles that feel like a family album of holiday mishaps.

The Jokers belong to the cousin who never left. Eight different designs share one cheeky family: a bathrobe with a trapper hat and boots, a rottweiler in a Santa hat, a fur-lined hat perched on soda cans, a tan sport coat over a turtleneck dickie, a sewer hose draining into a snowy street, a coil of rope tied with a red bow, work boots in the snow and a lawn chair waiting on the drift. Each one is guaranteed to get a laugh when it's played.

Finished with a layered tile edge in cranberry red, golden yellow, and evergreen, these acrylic mahjong tiles look like a stack of wrapped presents from every side, bringing the cosy, festive glow of the artwork all the way around each tile.

Designed for American mahjong players who want their mahjong set to bring the holiday spirit, Merry Mayhem makes a memorable Christmas gift for family game night and every December gathering.
